About C R Singing Academy
C R Singing Academy was born out of a true passion for singing performance and vocal technique . With a Bachelor of Music Honours Degree in Vocal Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Chelsea, who runs the studio, is an experienced singer within classical and folk genres. She has performed in intimate recital settings as well as 100 person choir concerts, most notably as a member of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir. She has also taught singers between the ages of 6 and 18 during her time as a student at university and also at a music school in Liverpool. She received the equivalent of a grade 8 piano qualification as a teenager living in the United States of America and has since then gained a life coaching qualification with Coach Deeper Ltd as well as an enhanced DBS qualification. She's passionate about working with each student to find their own unique singing voice through engaging exercises and creative expression while of course having fun and keeping lessons simple to understand. I have been wanting to take a voice lesson to improve my breathing and vocal range. I contacted Chelsea through her Instagram posts and arranged a lesson. Our opening conversation included a description of how my voice box, larynx, produced sound and how we would practice exercises that would develop control of my voice by being aware of what was happening in my throat as well as being conscious of breathing techniques. Chelsea has a lovely singing voice, when modelling techniques and was kind, professional and supportive.
